I think I may have posted this well over a year ago... but damn would I buy this Norio Wakamoto GPS. He's just as freaking over-the-top on GPS as he is as a seiyuu.
@%&*(#@#)$@!!! (Sorry, I just had to post this after seeing it appear after my last LJ post about how I'm tired of seeing Twilight bullshit EVERYWHERE right now. Et tu, Livejournal? LJ, I stick with you because you aren't full of stupid trendy shit or the type of members who enjoy stupid trendy shit. Soon Twilight will rent space for an advertisement in my dreams nightmares. I think I should just take three days and write a shitty cliche novel and become rich... sounds like a good use of my holiday break.
*deep breath* Sorry, it should be evident by now that I have literary standards. Also, I'm finally a third of the way through Les Mis. Goddamn I should just buy it abridged... 1500 pages! And all 1500 pages aren't interesting like in a Dostoevsky novel. :P But,... damn... the Cosette rescue from the Thenardiers was done pretty damn well... and heart-warmingly. Screw you, movie... novel-Jean wasn't in love with Fantine. It clearly says he hadn't felt love for family or a lover since before he went to prison... at least, until he meets Cosette. It was such a beautifully worded chapter. Also, RETURN OF JAVERT WOOT. :)
I have green nerd room pretty much finished and ready for my compy desk. So many wallscrolls and posters to move. I chopped off an inch from my Utena posters to fit them into their frames. So sad, those things were expensive and way way way out of print. ;-; Next size for a frame would have been insanely big and ugly though. I'll never sell them anyhow. I can't wait til my family sees my house on Thanksgiving and they get to have a full-face of just how nerdy I am. The Utena posters will be a weird thing to explain. "Yes, that dark tan fellow is feeling his nipple... in a figurative way..." Ara, I do wonder if they still think I'm a Catholic. I mentioned it once, not even saying I'm agnostic... just not Catholic, years ago and my grandmother screamed something about the devil at me. It was like a subconscious reaction... so weird lawl. Oh snap, just realized I have a lot of theology books that don't necessarily agree with the Bible. More fun stuff for them to discover! I'm such a heathen... I'm hoping to have a huge mandala painted over my bed by then too... we'll see if that will happen too. This almost amuses me, not that I enjoy frightened, angry expressions aimed in my general direction.
Table assembled, hitting stores and staining tomorrow, WILL WRITE FOR A FEW HOURS TOMORROW. It is not too late for Nanowrimo! I was reaquainting myself with the four major clans during the Heian period today.... I forgot so much of the research (*sigh*). I have a strong urge to go back to Japan and go to the locations that are important to my novel. I didn't leave Tokyo last time and there was nothing there that I can use.... suck. There's something important about sensing the entire experience when you write, ya know.
Comment and I'll give you three fandoms, for which you must answer these:
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place? 02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on? 03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.? 04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)? 05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?
battour gave me Utena, Gankutsuou, and Tenshi ni Narumon!
What (if any) books would you ban from a high school library? Are there certain subjects that you feel are inappropriate for teenagers regardless of literary merit?
Yeah, I'd ban shitty books with dreadful writing.... which we all know what that is. I'd also ban jr. high series like Christopher Pike. Time to grow up and read some good literature, kids. Oh, and The Anarchist Cookbook will be just fine in the library. :P
I want a laptop just so I can own this awesome VB swag! So, VB last night was awesome. I want to cosplay The Revengencer (or whatever Phantom Limb was going by in that ep... he looks like Mark Twain now).
Metalocalypse also had its best episode in a while. I lawled much between both shows last night... when these shows cease to have new episodes I will be a very disappointed Gret. ;-;
1. Put your playlist on random. 2. Post a line from the first 30 songs 3. Delete the songs when someone guesses correctly.
** so many songs I have to skip, totally not doing 30.
1. Though her words are simple and few, listen, listen, she's calling to you. (Feed the Birds - Mary Poppins)
2. And since you're shaped like a croissant is, there is no doubt, she's got to.... (A Guy Like You - Disney's Hunchback)
3. This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
4. Emptiness is loneliness, and loneliness is cleanliness, and cleanliness is godliness, and god is empty, just like me. (Zero - Smashing Pumpkins)
5. Will you join in our crusade, who'll be strong and stand with me... beyond the barricades is there a world you long to see? (Do You Hear the People Sing? - Les Mis)
6. What's up, sweetcakes? Who's here anyway? Earth girls are easy. Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? (Ask DNA - Cowboy Bebop movie) 7. mokushikushimoshimukoshi... (Zettai Unmei Mokushiroku - Utena)
8. Little girls still break their hearts, uh huh.....And men still keep on marching off to war... (The Beat Goes On - Sonny and Cher)

I feel like such a dirty hypocrite. My end tables, coffee table, bed, and computer desk are all coming from Walmart. I tried... I REALLY DID... so incredibly hard to buy elsewhere... but then what I was looking for would be only on Walmart's site. Damnit I hates them so. Also, Gret had to drag an entire bedroom set in boxes into the house all by herself... I may have a hernia now. ;-;
I should just not sleep tonight... not sleep at all... I have so much to do with work and house. Make some green tea and pull an all-nighter, woot!
RAWR... moving crap,... gonna be moved in within a few days... so much to move.... I didn't realize my computer desk was covered with so much dust - oh noes my nose. o-o
If you could relive one hour of your life so far, what would you choose and why? Would you do or say anything different? How do you think it would change your life?
Hmmm,... I don't have many huge regrets in terms of bad decisions. Maybe I'd go back and spend an additional hour with my grandfather. I was busy with college when the cancer was at its worse. I talked to him every day, but a little more time would have been nice.
So I'm actually working on Nanowrimo... so hellz yeah. But time for a shower in the middle of working. :)
So if I cosplay as Tim Drake will some (moderately) hot guy on this flist cosplay Conner (Kon-el) with me? :) I'm so hardcore into DC right now -- Blackest Night and just Tim being adorable Tim. It's sad how little I want to cosplay anything from anime anymore. Give me superheroes, damnit! Hell, there's some amusing stuff I'd like to attempt to cosplay... like: Kyle Rayner's girlfriend shoved into a fridge! Best costume ever. :)
Well, Bri destroyed whatever chance I had at being productive at Nanowrimo when I have free time. She lent SPN season 1 to me and I have to admit it's pretty good. Well written, great visuals, interesting in an episodic level as well as on a larger level as well. Damnit you suck Bri. :P I don't lust after the Winchesters though... I have yet to see why they're so obsessed over. Cool guys, good charisma, but the idea of paying practically $1,000 to meet them seems ridiculous.
Nanowrimo begins tonight at midnight. I'd like to make a proper attempt this November, but realistically I know I won't get remotely close to the goal. I painted and moved things again today. Lower back is soooo unhappy. Lesson learned: Olympus paint = sucks balls / One-coat Valspar = Wow, really it needs just about one coat! So in my bedroom I have an accent wall in yellow-orange and the other three walls are a rustier orange. I'm thinking of painting my own mandala on the lighter wall where my headboard is. I've always been fascinated by mandala. :) What I have left to do: Order/pick up additional furniture (I just discovered that Rooms2Go has the table that I paid over $700 for at $288 on clearance!!! And I wouldn't have had to put that one together myself. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! This table is a bitch to assemble)
Finish painting master bedroom, finish at least painting the office as well
Packing up everything left unpacked, move last boxes, get truck for furniture to move
Get all services in my name, move some services, get services not there yet (trash, mail, etc)
Sell old furniture (god I hope that'll even be possible)
Weeeeeee..... was going to do lesson plans tonight, but internet keeps going out. Would rather just sleep.
Man, how did Ouran manage to make me sniffle despite this chapter using the most played out cliche of shoujo romance!?! OMFG, STUDYING ABROAD IN AMERICA... I've neeeeeeeeever seen that conflict in shoujo. ;p This newest chapter had Tamaki being an asshole and Kyouya doing a lot of awesome over-the-shoulder glances... I'm sold despite how obvious the series is most of the time. :)
So tough! Ummm.... V of V from Vendetta. I almost went with the Phantom, but he gets a bit obsessive and the life-sized doll of myself could get creepy. V is witty, well-read, and appreciates all of the things that I appreciate. I don't care how he looks under the mask, hell, I could get Hugo Weaving's VOICE... that's good enough. :)

One of my favorites, Herman Hesse: “There's no reality except the one contained within us. That's why so many people live an unreal life. They take images outside them for reality and never allow the world within them to assert itself.”
I forgot the teacher's manual that I desperately needed to create the test I have to give tomorrow. Oh to hell with it, fate is telling me just to go to bed and deal with it in the morning. ;-; Soooooooooo sleepy. I haven't gotten over 6 hours of sleep in about ten days. Gret going crazies soon. I wish my job was easier or at least ended when I leave school.

Going with a somewhat obvious one: Topless Robot. It is one of the best nerd sites. Highlights are Fanfiction Fridays with the most HORRIFYING fanfics on the internet, nerd rants, and hilarious top ten lists.
I'm hoping to move into my home next week but it's supposed to rain a lot this week, so who knows. Also I have no confirmed help for moving. That sort of... really sucks. I'll find a way. I'm already thinking of the paintings I want to make for my rooms. I have a desire to make two series of oil paintings: religious and favorite literary characters. The religion ones will be very fun because I get to integrate my style with the cultural style of the religious images I'm using in each painting. That's just nifty. The literary ones... man I just really want to do it. I want a massive Erik (Phantom of the Opera) face shining on my wall. Mmmm insane cadaver-man, so welcoming. :)
Also, goddamn finally, Bleach. I swear I'm only reading Bleach still for the characters because the plot has been dreadful for years now. WOOT KENPACHI~!!!!
